Atkore delivers connected customer experiences with Sitecore
Case Study Overview
Atkore is a global manufacturer based in the US and recognized as an industry leader in electrical, safety, and infrastructure solutions. The company manufactures electrical conduit, cable management systems, armored cable, metal framing, and security products. Atkore wanted to deliver a more consistent and connected online experience for its customers, which involved consolidating its 27 disparate brand websites. To achieve these goals, it partnered with Sitecore to adopt a composable approach.
Challenge:
Atkore has more than 27 brands, each of which had its own website. With different technology landscapes, operational processes and vendors involved, Atkore was unable to provide customers with a consistent experience across its different products, brands and channels. This disparate approach also led to organizational silos, which impacted efficiency and innovation.
Solution:
Atkore partnered with Sitecore to take a more unified approach to its online presence. The new, next-generation Atkore.com is built on a composable approach, using Sitecore solutions across content, experience and commerce.
Atkore was able to take a phased approach to modernization and development, launching Sitecore OrderCloud’s shopping cart functionality first, and extending into phase two of the project focused on enabling future-proofed and scalable commerce across their brands.
Outcome:
The new Atkore website provides customers with a consistent, connected experience, enabling them to search for products and submit a single request for quote across more than 700n product categories and all 27 brands. Atkore has improved the visitor experience with five-times faster page loads and 90% of pages now loading within a second.
